This week, we have been talking about winter clothes. Some vocabulary words we covered are: shoes, boots, coat, jacket, mittens, gloves, cap, hat, sweater, socks. The kids were very aware of these words since they are very familiar with them right now. We also reviewed colors when talking about their winter clothing. The kids were looking at their own jackets, boots, hats as well as looking at others. Also, they were learning the difference between similar clothes, such as jacket – coat, boots – shoes, hat – cap.
Creativity Class was also exciting! They worked on several projects, such as making winter boots, scarves and hats and having some fun with play-doh!
Story Time has become a nice part of their routine and it is wonderful to see how our Tiny Turtles remain seated during the entire story when it is being read to them! Some of the stories this week included: Avalanche, Barney Gear Gets Dressed, Snow, What Will You Wear, Claude?, and The Snowy Day.
Next week will be very special as we will have our annual grandmother’s day celebration on Friday! Your little ones will get to come to kinder with their grandmothers to work together on a special project with them and have some tea!
Topics next week will include talking about different kind of animals (winter animals and forest animals as well).
We hope you have a wonderful weekend!
