This week, the Big Bears had lots of fun learning different things about school. They are also learning how to be consistent with a routine and adapting to new rules and instructions. They are doing a good job remembering where to line up, and where the should put their lunchbox when they arrive.
As we begin this school year with new topics, we would like to encourage you to read a short story to your child at least four times a week. This will help tremendously to develop language skills, both verbal and non verbal. It’s a great activity that also gives you quality time with your child.
We want to remind you that our Open House for parents of the Big Bears class will be held on Tuesday, September 4th at 7:00pm.
We look forward to meeting with you, and would like to leave you with a short poem for such wonderful parents:
“An Apple for the Parent”
An Apple for the teacher…
Its really nothing new.
Except when you remember
Parents are teachers, too!
Have a nice weekend!
