Shapes! You can see them everywhere! This week was dedicated to learn about shapes, such as: square, circle, triangle, rectangle, star, heart, diamond and oval. We looked for them everywhere, for example: kinder doors are like rectangles, windows look like squares, balls have a circular form, etc.
Mr. Mike taught us during Circle Time some new songs and dance moves. He also introduced shapes, we especially loved holding hands to make a big circle!
At Morning Routine we practiced shapes a lot, Tiny Turtles already know the song “We are shapes, you can see us everywhere”. Kiddos found shapes on the walls, matched flashcards and played with wooden shape puzzles.
Our Creativity project this week was a poster with 5 different shapes. Kids used sponges to make triangle and rectangle prints, toilet paper rolls to make circle prints and glue to paste little squares and ovals. They felt very happy when they saw their shape boards.
As you may already know, on Thursday October 31st, we will be having our Halloween party and parade. Start looking for costumes so your child can participate. Try to find simple costumes for their own comfort. If possible, use make up instead of a mask, so it won’t obstruct their sight.
Next week we will learn about lines, primary colors and fall.
Have a great weekend!
