We had a great week! The children did better than expected and are adapting quickly to our daily routine. This week our main topic was “Things about yourself” like “what is your name?”, What do you like?, coming to school and let’s play together. Our Tiny Turtles had a lot of fun in creativity class enjoying their sesame street puppets project. We’ve been busy painting paper bags using different techniques and tools: paintbrushes, sponges, rollers, crayons adding shredded and cut pieces of crepe and tissue paper. Kids especially loved the part where they had to paste the eyes, nose and mouth on their puppets.
Physical development class with Miss Mely was all about getting to know the different parts of your body… a perfect introduction for our next week topics. Turtles got to be active and dance pretty cool songs such as: “listen and move”, ‘body rock”, “shake your sillies”, “shake your bean bag”, “shaky egg” and the “sesame street march”. At the end of our physical development routine we enjoy “relax time”, everybody gets to lay down and Miss Mely helps them stretch their arms and legs.
We would like to remind you of our open house event that will be held on Monday, August 31 at 7:30 pm in our Tiny Turtles classroom. We look forward to seeing you soon!
Books we loved this week: “Elmo goes to school”/” Elmo’s world: Food!”/ “Elmo’s good manners game”/ “Elmo loves you!” and “Hello, it’s Elmo!”.
