During this week we reviewed Halloween characters and rhymes: “The Witch” and “Trick or Treat”. We will practice our new song “Pumpkin, Pumpkin”. They are really excited knowing that Halloween is just around the corner.
We are all having fun and waiting for the great day, Thursday, October 30 a 10:20 a.m. to participate on the “Hocus Pocus Parade”. Each one is telling us what they are going to wear. That their costume will be the best! Some of them are trying to express how they are going to be painted.
Big Bears had the opportunity to roll play as if they were goblins, ghosts, witches, cats, bats etc. They also love to learn and recite rhymes and songs.
Our new song: “Pumpkin, Pumpkin”
Let´s give you some eyes
Let´s give you a nose
Let´s give you a scary smile
You are a Jack-o-Lantern!
“Trick or Treat”
Trick or Treat
Give me something good to eat!
With the Pumpkin, Pumpkin song you can do this at home: on a chalk board or white board, draw a circle and let your child follow the song drawing the parts of the Jack-O-Lantern´s face.
We also experienced “Fall Sensory Bin” which consisted of a box full of items that remind us of colors, scents, symbols of fall. It had hay, small pine cone, across, mini pumpkins, different types of leaves and plastic containers with cinnamon, clover and nutmeg.
Big Bears were excited and anxious to make a “Spider” using oreo cookies, pretzel sticks, m&m´s and nutella. They just wanted to finish and eat it. But we wanted to share it with you. You can do it at home. It was fun!
Christian was the Super Kid on Friday!
It is so enriching to see when Big Bears learn new things and how they help each other. We are all friends and proud to be Big Bears!
Have a great weekend!
