This week was full of interesting and fun activities! The Big Bears retold Christopher Columbus’ story. They were very excited taking their assigned roles. This helps them improve comprehension and fluency. As you know, they also learned the song “Columbus, Columbus” building up their confidence and self-esteem. We made Columbus´s ships using apple slices for the sails.
We learned about the different types of lines that exist and finished the shapes.
Next week we will discover the different seasons and the main colors of each one. The new rhyme will be:
Tree trunk at the bottom
Leaves at the top
Apple falling off the tree
Plop, plop, plop.
Also, we will start practicing for Halloween. Here is another rhyme:
If I were a witch
I would ride on a broom
And scatter the ghosts
With a zoom, zoom, zoom.
