We are learning the different types of fruits and veggies and how they should be incorporated in our nutrition. Our students had a chance to tell us which one was their favorite describing their shape and color. They had the opportunity to taste several vegetables.
Next week they will learn about proteins and grains, too. We will experience using the sense of touch so we can feel the shapes and textures. We will also begin presenting what Thanksgiving means: sharing, being grateful, and thankful. They will start learning a new rhyme called “Gobble, Gobble”
A turkey is a funny bird
His head goes wobble, wobble
He only knows one funny word:
Gobble, gobble, gobble
During creativity with Ms, Cristy, Big Bears had a great time using different senses such as tasting, feeling and smelling vegetables creating food art. They made and ate a fruit palm tree using bananas, orange and apple, and a veggie flower with celery, carrots and tomatoes! They had a lot of fun!
I want to thank my dearest Big Bear parents for attending to the Parent-Teacher conference and for being punctual. 🙂
Have a great weekend!
