This week was loads of turkey fun! The children made shapes with turkeys and also learned that tracing their hand, makes for a fun little turkey.
In art, the kids enjoyed creating a scarecrow out of latex gloves. They painted them and made some hats for them as well. They also started a to make an Indian head dress for Thanksgiving week.
During circle time and active music, the kids enjoyed role playing as pilgrims, indians, and turkeys. They also learned about sharing and being kind to each other.
One of this week’s favorite songs was “A Turkey Named Bert”” which you can find on Youtube. The kids liked it so much, they said “again” after it ended.
Next week is a short, but sweet week because we are having a real Thanksgiving celebration. We are so looking forward to it, and we hope the kids are too.
