This week the Terrific Tigers learned all about fruits and vegetables. We pretended to go to the market and shop to the “Let´s go to market” song, and made beautiful art pieces that involved painting, gluing, and one of the kids favorite things to do: tearing paper apart.
We also introduced new songs. The kids had a blast moving to the music. Some of this week´s favorites were “I know a chicken,” “Song in my tummy,” and “Shake your body down” by Laurie Berkner. (You can find her videos on Youtube)
Some of the kids favorite activities were also the stories we read about the City Mouse and Country Mouse. They also liked the book about counting fruit. One of the Tigers favorite activities was exploring an H-E-B bag full of fruits and veggies.
Since Thanksgiving is just around the corner, we also started talking about indians and pilgrims and, of course, sharing.
As next week begins we will be reviewing food and we will even be visiting our local grocery store, H-E-B. So, save the date! We will be going on November 13th. See you then!
