This week we continued talking about winter and the cold weather. It was very cold, so we added the word “cold” to our daily song about the weather with Mr. Mike.
We all enjoyed story time very much, too. Our students were happy to hear the stories of the books such as: Polar Bear, Polar Bear, What do you Hear?, The Bear Went Over the Mountain, Who Lives There? and ABC Canada.
During Creativity Time, the Turtles made a melted snowman, because spring is coming and he won’t be frozen forever. We also made Benny the Bear, like the one Mr. Mike was showing us in Circle Time.
At the end of the week, we learned about winter sports, so we made some skates and a skier in the snowy mountains. The kiddos are getting better and better at their artistic skills, they already know how to use glue, brushes and paint!
We said “Bye-bye” to January and that means that we are welcoming the most “lovely” month of the year. In February, the kids will learn about Valentine’s Day, send some love letters home and make many crafts related to love and friendship. We are also having a visit from the police and the doctors. So exciting!
As a friendly reminder, we don’t have classes on Monday, February 4th. So, enjoy your weekend and see you on Tuesday!
Hope you have a wonderful long weekend!
