The People In My Neighborhood!

It was a great week for the Busy Bees! They learned and reviewed all about people in our neighborhood and community helpers. The vocabulary included garbage truck, excavator, rescue team, tools, recycle, garbage collector, pilot, doctor, dentist, teacher, and firefighter.

During Creativity Time, we made a box with tools inside, we used yellow paint and chalk to decorate it. Also, we made a planet Earth using recycled paper so our little ones can understand and remember that we need to take care of it.

In Physical Development, we pretended to be Construction Workers. The kids got to use our play tools like hammers, saws, wrenches, drills, and screwdrivers and pretended to fix things all around the gym! They were so happy! and of course, wore a hard hat.

Next week we will be learning about air transportation, land transportation and water transportation.

We hope you have an amazing weekend!

Valentine’s Week!

On Thursday, we had our Valentine’s Day Party! The kids were very excited to share their candy and gifts with their classmates. Also, Mr. Mike portrayed a mail man delivering Valentine’s and bubbles to all Toddler Tree´s classrooms.

The kids really enjoyed the food and they also had a blast hitting the piñata.

On Friday, we had a dentist visit Toddler Tree. Dra. Martha, made a lovely presentation for the kids to learn about taking care of their teeth.

During Creativity we made funny dentures using apple slices, peanut butter and marshmallows.

Stop! Police!

This was a week full of learning! We had a great highlight of the week, a police officers’ visit. They gave our students a presentation about safety and traffic. Everyone was very excited and interested.

The Busy Bees really enjoyed the part where they got to see the inside of the police car and listen to the different sirens and sounds. Some of our toddlers were so exited they even wore a police hat that we made in Art Class!

During Creativity time, we had a blast pretending to be chefs by decorating a cupcake with some delicious icing and rainbow sprinkles. We also created a police hat using, glue and paint. Also, we made a doctors’ kit.

Next week, we will learn more about other community helpers and about the real meaning of Valentine’s Day. On Thursday February 14th, we will have our Valentine’s party at kinder! If you are going to bring candy for the kids please remember to label who it’s from so we get to say thanks! On this day, the kids don’t need to bring lunch boxes, only a thermos with water or juice will be fine.

We hope you have an amazing weekend!

Winter Review!

This week the Busy Bees had a lot of fun! They got to make some mittens with their finger prints and some skates as we started learning about winter sports! During Exploration, they had a great time making slime! They loved to touch it and play with it.

Our kiddos really enjoyed new activities to continue developing their fine motor skills, like placing poker chips in a jar.

Finally, during Circle Time, the kids enjoyed playing with Mr. Mike. We reviewed winter sports by sliding down a ramp as if we were on a sled in the snow. We moved and danced, and also had fun pretending to ice skate.

We look forward to starting a new month with new topics related to community helpers and Valentine’s Day! We are sure our little ones will have a wonderful time!

Please remember we don’t have school on Monday, February 4th .

We Love Animals!

One of the main themes for this month is winter animals, and this week we learned so much about them: how they live, what do they eat and what kind of weather they endure, etc. But those weren’t the only animals we reviewed, forest animals were also included in the classroom topics, and those are cool too!

This week for exploration time Busy Bees developed their fine motor skills by practicing the bottles and straws activity, they just can’t get enough of this activity!

Our kiddos were very busy this week in Creativity class, they made some awesome projects! One of this week’s themes was owls and kiddos got to make one with their hand prints. They were so happy and excited with the final result! We also made a penguin, using white paint, a little remembrance for you to keep.

Thank you so much to all the grandmothers for coming to visit us. Our little ones had so much fun helping them make a tissue box with colorful paper. They were very happy to have them all here.

Next week, we will have many fun and interesting activities related to winter sports!
