Say Boo and Scary on!

After a week or more of anxiously waiting, Halloween finally arrived! We had a fun and exciting week with spooky themes and our hocus pocus Halloween parade and party! Everyone showed up in their best costumes, we had a little Mike Wazowski from Monsters Inc. movie, Minnie mouse, Cinderella, Frankenstein, Jessy from Toy Story, Batman & Robin and a little cute monster.

Kids loved to hand out candy to their friends, and had a blast doing their milk jug monster treat container in exploration time. We did lots of cool stuff in our exploration time like our monsters bowling, witch’s hat ring toss and a Halloween sensory play with jello and creepy plastic toys like spiders and worms.

Tiny Turtles had so much fun during their creativity time with Miss Cristy, were they made a paper plate cat, which they painted and pasted the whiskers, eyes, ears and tail. Children also did a “lantern” with a jar, they pasted yellow and orange mache papers.

In physical development kids played with pumpkins and jack o lanterns, singing along “jack o lantern” & “5 little pumpkins”. Jumping and getting inside and outside the parachute makes them laugh and giggle, they really like it! Every time we put super simple Halloween songs turtles pay a lot of attention, they love to see cartoons singing and dancing various Halloween songs.

We hope you had a fun Halloween night, and that our turtles get lots of candy when they go out trick or treating!

October Week 5

Big Bears were excited all week waiting for the big Halloween celebration!

During Creativity with Ms. Cristy they made a lot of fun projects, including a spider, a black cat, the decoupage lantern, and the haunted house project.

At Circle Time with Mr. Mike they participated and enjoyed all of his spooky surprises.

Halloween finally arrived! Our parade was full of wonderful moments. Oh, we enjoyed the way they recited and sang Halloween songs & rhymes. We hope you had fun too!

Next week the Bears class will start learning about fruits, vegetables and dairy products.

Remember parent-teacher conferences will be held on Tuesday, November 4. Please confirm your attendance and to show respect towards other families, be punctual.

We would appreciate very much to make sure all your child´s items and sweaters are labeled to avoid mix-ups.

Thank you!

Happy Halloween!! 😀
