Tigers Show Their First Stripes

During their first week of school, we’re happy to inform that all  the tigers have adapted well to their habitat. Your little ones did not cry much, most of them did no cry at all. We were able to go straight into teaching them how to express themselves with confidence. They are learning the colors, letter sounds, and numbers very quickly. We also have taught them about feelings and expressions, which you may get to see a lot of at home. We feel that, overall, the feeling in the classroom has been HAPPY. We plan to do our very best to keep it that way throughout the school year.

We also had a birthday celebration. David Cadena was a super happy “SUPER KID” celebrating his birthday that was on August 8th. Thank you Mom and Dad for the lovely cupcakes!

Next week, we’ll be going over family members and the home, so feel free to give your kids a quick review. For now, these cubs are showing their stripes as they keep learning and growing into astute tigers!

Welcome Tiny Turtles 2014-2015

Dear Parents,

Welcome to the Toddler Tree kinder family!

My name is Judy Rosales, the head teacher for the Tiny Turtles class. I will be working with Miss Nancy Murillo this year. Welcome to our new school year! This is a time of new beginnings, making friends, and learning lots of new things for your little ones.

We are so excited to begin the year with your child. This year is an important step in your child’s education to begin a love of learning and discovering new things. We are committed to making your child’s preschool experience an exciting time, full of growth and development!  We will provide a wide variety of learning experiences and play experiences throughout the day.  Students will develop social/emotionally, cognitively, and physically.Every day they are going to be involved in new experiences and we hope to provide a variety of opportunities for learning and growing.

We believe that children grow and develop the most when there is a strong connection between home and school.  You know your child the best.  We welcome any input you have about your child.  If you ever have any questions or concerns about your child, please do not hesitate to contact me.  Together we can work as a team and make this an enjoyable and meaningful experience for your child!   We are delighted to be a part of your child’s preschool experience and we thank you for entrusting your child to us, we are looking forward for a wonderful year!

Sincerely,

The Tiny Turtles team

2014-2015 A New School Year!

At Toddler Tree we feel very happy and proud to say hello as we get ready to begin a new school year. This has been such a wonderful summer! We had a lot of fun with Disney´s Summer Days and are enjoying a short break before starting our Teacher Orientation.

We hope you too are enjoying the last days of the summer with family, friends, having fun. We are eager to have our students back, learning new and exciting things starting the 2014-2015 school year on Monday, August 25th.

Please take some time in the next few days to talk to your child about coming to kinder.  In order to make this an easier transition, you may want to:

•             show him/her that they will have their own lunchbox to take each day packed with a surprise

•             tell them about how much they will enjoy meeting other children and teachers

•             explain the routine; you can say “Mom or Dad will drop you off; you will play with friends and after a little while, I’ll come to pick you up- like when you go to Grandma’s house!”

•             reinforce that going to school is a time for them to play and have fun

We hope to see you and your little ones soon!
