Zoo Animals

The kids have enjoyed the zoo animals we’ve covered over the last few weeks. We’ve learned about giraffes, camels, elephants, monkeys, zebras, lions among others. We have pretended to be different animals by moving like them and making their sounds. The Terrific Tigers have also learned many songs related to the theme.

This week was pet week. We had a chance of meeting  Miss Cecy’s dog, “Bolita”  and the kids loved it! Some just stared while others went up close to pet him. We also had a visit from Maria Jose’s cat “Soni”. The kids liked him a lot, too!

Next week we will be learning about animals that live in the sea…it is going to be fun!

We hope you enjoy your weekend,
Miss Lucia and Miss Vero

May Week 4

Dear Parents,

During this week we finished learning about different Zoo and Jungle animals. You can be sure that all the Big Bears learned many things about these animals such as: their name, color, shape, habitat, food, etc. Also, they have been able to practice different movements and reinforce their abilities of balance and stability. At recess, we “traveled to the jungle” and where able to experience a Safari. All this fun activities helped our Big Bears to have a great time learning about all this animals.

The next week they will start learning about sea animals and all the wonderful species that live in it. Through several activities, they are going to have the opportunity to “live” under the sea. Big Bears have been learning new rhymes and have been practicing all the ones they learned during this school year at Toddler Tree. We can proudly tell you that they are capable of remembering each one of them.

Have a great weekend.

Thank you,

Ms. Caya & Ms. Yayis

Muchas Gracias,

Ms. Caya & Ms. Yayis

May Week 3

Dear Parents,

This week we had lots of fun learning more about different animals (Giraffe, Zebra, Snake, Hippo, Zoo, etc.) and their colors, habitat and many other aspects. They have been able to imitate their movements and sounds giving them the opportunity to practice stability/balance and coordination. As a creative activity, each one of them had the opportunity to paint using different colors. After doing this they had the chance to relate several animals with a certain color. Also during this week we felt so excited to see how our Big Bears celebrated with us during Teacher’s Day. Our best present has been watching them grow and be able to form part of this beautiful process.

Next week they will learn about new animals that may be found at the park, jungle or zoo. Also, Big Bears will start learning a new rhyme that will help their memorizing skills. During art class they are going to create different animals with the use of several materials, colors and techniques.

We hope you have a great weekend.

Thank you,

Ms. Caya & Ms. Yayis

Muchas Gracias,

Ms. Caya & Ms. Yayis

Mother’s Day Week

Our Big Bears started learning about different jungle animals. These new themes have made us practice and learn new movements/sounds. During recess time we have been pretending we are in a jungle and take different roles. Their little faces show lots of excitement and happiness, they really enjoy playing.

Also, during this week we made many activities related to the Mother’s day event. Big Bears prepared a special gift full of creativity and love, each morning when they arrive they say “Este es de mi mama?”.  We are so excited that you were able to see them on the event, Big Bears felt so proud of the surprises they had been practicing and doing for their mommy.

During next week we will continue exploring new things and animals that may be found at the jungle or zoo. We will be making different fun activities to reinforce their gross and fine motor skills. As well, Big Bears will be practicing and learning new language patterns, such as: It’s mine, It’s yours, It’s empty, It’s full, etc.

We feel so proud of our little ones because each day they have been demonstrating us their new abilities.

Here is a slide show with pictures of Children’s Day.

Have a great weekend.

Muchas Gracias,

Ms. Caya & Ms. Yayis
