Hello December!

Dear Parents,

We had two superkids this week. It was Becky’s and Laura Maria’s birthday and the kids enjoyed the celebrations. They were expecting everyone else to have a turn. Andrea even said yesterday, “Quien cumple años hoy?”

Christmas is just around the corner! The kids have been listening to new songs and they will sure getting into the spirit soon. For art, we made a Christmas tree and some kids shared that they already had a tree and some ornaments at home. We are sure they will enjoy this month’s theme.

Enjoy your weekend!

November Week 4

This week we started getting ready for our Winter Wonderland Festival. The Big Bears are really excited! As a creative art project we made a Christmas Tree using different techniques such as finger painting, glitter shaking and pasting ornaments. To develop their fine motor skills we placed yarn in the tree so later on they can hang it on their bedroom door knob. During this week they also talked about the different things and activities they did during the Thanksgiving break.

Next week will be full of interesting activities; our Big Bears will start preparing their Christmas Projects which will be done with lots of love and creativity. Also, they will practice the different songs and rhymes related to the Winter Wonderland Festival.

Please make sure all of your child’s sweaters and jackets are labeled to avoid mix-ups.

Have a great weekend.

Thank you,

Ms. Caya & Ms. Yayis

Muchas Gracias,

Ms. Caya & Ms. Yayis

Thanksgiving Toy Drive

Toddler Tree will be helping to collect toys during this week for “Grupo Los Ángeles”, a non-profit organization committed to delivering toy donations to different local orphanages and the children they support during the holiday season. For the fifth consecutive year, Toddler Tree families have contributed a valuable experience for their kids in sharing something of their own they are no longer interested in with less fortunate children. Please talk to your child about this activity. Help him/her select a toy that he/she no longer needs or uses to bring in for this purpose. If you know of other people who would like to brighten other children’s holidays, they are welcome to participate, too. The last day for receiving toys at our kinder will be Friday, November 30th, since the toys will be delivered during the first weekend in December.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Dear parents,

Happy Thanksgiving! This week we have been talking about the importance of sharing, being thankful for our family and friends and the story of the first Thanksgiving with the Pilgrims and the Indians.

Next week there will be no classes due to the Mexican Revolution Holiday and Thanksgiving. However, the following week, we’ll start talking about celebrating the winter holidays, and practicing for our festival.

Here are some recent pictures when we were painting with spaghetti in art class:

Hope you have a wonderful holiday!
